    2. THE SPANISH BOOKSTAGE is an information platform about the copyrights of authors with the aim of promoting the meeting of literary agents, editors and translators as well as allowing them, prior registration, to enter content on this Website.

For this reason, these General Conditions of Use (hereinafter, “the General Conditions”) govern, together with the Privacy Policy and Cookies, the access to and the use by the users of the Website accessible through the domain name and its subdomains (hereinafter, “THE SPANISH BOOKSTAGE” or “the Website”).

The person that enters the Website is considered to be User of THE SPANISH BOOKSTAGE (hereinafter, “the User”) and implies the acceptance of the terms stipulated in the herein General Conditions. In case the User does not accept these General Conditions, the User must leave the Website immediately.

    8. Access to the Website

      1. The access to the Website is free, except for the cost of connection through the telecommunications network supplied by the User’s provider.

      2. In general, registration is not required in order for the User to access to and browse through the content of the Website. Nevertheless, the use of certain services and content may be subject to prior registration by the User.
        The data entered by the User whenever required to access certain sections or restricted areas of the Website must be accurate, up-to-date and true. The registered User shall be responsible at all times for safekeeping his password and username; being the User liable for any damage or loss as result of the misuse, assignment, disclosure or loss of the password. In this respect, any access to the restricted areas as well as the use of the services and content of the Website made under the User’s username and password shall be considered to have been made by the User himself. Therefore, the User shall be held liable for such access and use.

      3. The Users agrees that the acceptance of the rights and obligations emanated from his username and password is binding to him; and such acceptance is considered an electronic signature equivalent to a hand-written signature.

    9. Correction and identification of errors when entering data

      1. In the event of not filling out a field marked as required, the User shall not be able to continue with the registration process until such required field has been filled out. A message will appear on the screen warning the User of such circumstance.

      2. The User shall be able to modify and/or update his data at any time by accessing his restricted area known as MY PROFILE and located at the “Menu” section of the Website.

    10. Provision of Third-Party Data (data of authors and companies)

      1. In the event that the User submits personal data of third parties through the Website (for example, personal data regarding authors being represented by the User as an Agent), the User declares to have previously obtained the express consent of these third parties, so THE SPANISH BOOKSTAGE may process such data in accordance with the purposes described herein in these General Conditions as well as in the Privacy Policy included within this Website. In this respect, the User declares that the consent given by the authors for the disclosure and publication of their data in THE SPANISH BOOKSTAGE encompasses data regarding the authors᾽ biographies (including pictures) as well as information related to their works.

      2. On the other hand, the User acting as Literary Agent of the authors whose data will be submitted to THE SPANISH BOOKSTAGE through the Website declares, by accepting these General Conditions, to have the express consent of such authors as well as of the related companies, so their data may be transferred to third companies for the purpose of receiving information regarding their products and services. In this respect, the User declares that the authors he represents as well as the related companies have given their express consent, so THE SPANISH BOSTAGE may transfer their data for the purposes mentioned above to companies belonging exclusively to the cultural industries and associated activities.

      3. The User shall not hold THE SPANISH BOOKSTAGE liable for any penalty and/or fine that may be imposed on the Website as result of the User’s breach of the herein provision. In the event that penalties and/or fines are imposed on THE SPANISH BOOKSTAGE in connection with such breach, the Company reserves the right to take any legal action at its disposal against the User in order to recover the damages and losses incurred by THE SPANISH BOOKSTAGE due to such breach.

      1. The User agrees to use the Website in accordance with the law, moral principles and public order as well as these General Conditions.         4. Disseminate, transmit or make it available to third parties any type of information, element or content that constitutes unlawful or unfair advertising.

        5. Transmit unsolicited or unauthorized advertisements, advertising material, "spam", "chain mails", "pyramid schemes" or any other form of solicitation, except in those areas (such as commercial spaces) that are exclusively intended for these purposes.

        6. Submit or disseminate any false, ambiguous or inaccurate information or content that is deceptive to its recipients.

        7. Impersonate other Users of the Website.

        8. Disseminate, transmit or make it available to third parties any type of information, element or content that constitutes a breach of intellectual property rights, patents, brands or copyright held by the owners of the Website or by third parties.

      8. Choice of Law and Place of Conclusion of the Contract
